Take a peek at all of the fun students had during Orientation! Seeing old friends and meeting new ones, Little School of Waldwick students had a blast on the playground, in the play room, using paint, making colorful creations and much more!
We are off to a great start and cannot wait for the fun and learning in the year ahead! Follow the link for more fun photos:
For our final week of Summer Camp, Little Schoolers found their magic lamps and took a trip with Jasmine and Aladdin on a magic carpet ride! Campers journeyed to the great Sahara and explored the mystical Arabian Desert. Our camp transformed into a royal palace as we went in search of hidden treasures. Little School of Waldwick Campers had a special Story Time visit from two of our wonderful alumni, Marlie and Taylor! We used our magic carpets to travel in search of jewels and gold and even had a visit from Princess Jasmine!

1, 2, 3 come and sing along with see! During our Music with Elmo week, Little School of Waldwick campers learned that Elmo has a family and so do musical instruments! We made our own musical instruments and played together in The Little School band with a visit from Cookie Monster and his Sesame Street crew!
Little School Campers even participated in a child focus group run by Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street and more! Sesame Workshop travels all over to gain insight from child audiences to better their content and interview their target demographic. As an award-winning preschool, The Little School of Waldwick was the only school chosen in New Jersey and our campers were the lucky subjects!

Ahoy Maytees! Join us in looking back at this fun filled pirate and mermaid adventure, or walk the plank! We had a blast for this under the sea fantasy as we swam with mermaids. Our little scallywags were on the hunt for buried treasure with their telescopes in hand! Campers climbed aboard The Little School Pirate Ship with a real Pirate for some adventure on the high seas! Yo-ho me hearties, Let’s Go!

Grab you partner and do-si-do on down to The Little School Farm to see how much fun we had! Little School of Waldwick Campers were amazed to see The Little School transformed in to a Barnyard Bonanza! We learned how to milk a cow, explored animal sounds, planted crops, tasted our homegrown vegetables and much more farm fun! Campers took part in a milk taste test and graphed their favorite. We even had a visit from some barnyard friends with a live petting zoo at the end of our theme!

Oh say can you see… how much fun we had as we celebrated our nation’s Independence Day. Yankee Doodle rang through the halls as Little School of Waldwick campers sang their hearts out to a selection of classic patriotic tunes. The campers learned about Betsy Ross, the creator of the very first American flag, as well as the flag’s significance. We created a flag of our own, learned all about the Statue of Liberty and explored the symbols of America. We played games and even had a water balloon relay race! For our finale we marched in our very own patriotic parade!

On Wednesday, June 12th, students of our graduating class hosted a special Donuts with Dad event to celebrate Father’s Day. Students showed their dads how much they ROCK by singing special songs and creating projects with a Geology theme!
Graduates impressed their dads with their knowledge of Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic rocks and layers of the earth. After the show, Dads and grads enjoyed donuts and other treats while playing construction-themed games together!
At The Little School, our Dads truly ROCK and we are so thankful to have them in our Little School family!

We had an absolutely wonderful day at the annual Little School of Waldwick Circus! The weather was beautiful, the children excited and ready, and all of you wonderful parents, family and friends gathered under the big top to watch the magic unfold.
We had ringmasters, tight rope walkers, lion tamers, silly seals, dazzling dancers, acrobats and so much more! We loved sharing these wonderful preschool activities with you all and creating all these special memories together.
Below are some photo highlights from the day! Enjoy!

On Friday, May 3rd, The Little School graduating class treated their mothers to an elegant brunch and performance.
Students sang songs filled with words of love for all their mothers to show their appreciation. Our students created special handmade hats and necklaces for the mommies to wear during the party. The walls were adorned with decorations made by the children, including a hand-drawn portrait of their mom! After their performance, students invited their mommy to sit while they served them muffins, fruit, cheese and crackers, and of course iced tea! A real treat for all of our hard-working, amazing Little School moms!
The Little School’s Director and educational staff strongly believe that there is an important connection between family and school, especially during the early years. As your child’s primary teacher and first educator, a parents role in their child’s early education is critical to their success!
Each year, we celebrate mothers at our Annual Mother’s Day Tea Party, a special event for students of our graduating class.

Any parent would be lucky to find The Little School of Waldwick for their child. Having experienced another preschool with my oldest child (now at TLS) I now know that not all preschools are created equal. For my children, TLS has been an amazing environment — a day of flowing through theme-based classrooms leaves little room for toddler distractions and the children come away with real learning experiences that set a crucial foundation for the future. The teachers are incredibly caring, enthusi…
We feel so fortunate to have discovered the Little School of Waldwick. What an amazing place. Our daughter has been there for 2 years and we do not want her to graduate! It is such a creative environment with multiple, themed rooms which the children circulate throughout each day – and the teachers and director Maria S. make every child feel so special and loved. We especially like the half-day and full-day options which make it a great place for working and non-working parents alike. And the su…
The Little School of Waldwick is definitely the best preschool around. Both my niece and nephew went there and are both ahead of the learning curve now. We started sending my daughter this year and she absolutely loves it. She enjoys going to school everyday to see her teachers and friends. It is amazing to see how much she has learned and her progress so far. I have to thank Ms. Maria and her staff for the wonderful caring and learning environment they provide.
My daughter attended the Little School of Waldwick and they are great. My daughter has a learning disability and Miss Maria was great with her. She improved so much and did great when she moved onto kindergarten. Thank you Little School of Waldwick !
The Little School of Waldwick is the best nursery school out there. The director, Miss Maria does a super job with her program. Her children do all sorts of terrific projects as a group, like building a cave for polar bears while at the same time learning all about winter animals. She puts on grand show, like a circus at the end of the year and a mother’s day brunch. Once you walk into the school, you’ll see what I mean. It’s a spectacular place for kids. Love it.
The Little School is, by far, the BEST and ONLY place to have your child begin his/her school life. My 2 boys went there years ago – the formed their love of school and gained their sense of being and self-confidence. Through song and crafts and computers, they learned about “Voting” on Election Day, the “Mayflower” on Thanksgiving and “Hibernation” in the winter, just to name a few. Everything done at The Little School is done with a Pop and a Wow. Just walking inside, you take in the cleanline…
My two children attended the Little School of Waldwick. First of all, when I walked in I was amazed. The school looked like a country club for children ! It was colorful, big, with great play areas, both inside and out, and on top of everything else, it is immaculate ! The teachers are warm and very professional. The projects my children did at the school were amazing. They were so prepared for kindergarten, they could even read. This is THE place to take your children !
Little School of Waldwick is FANTASTIC! Both children attended for 2 years each prior to Kindergarten. They were well prepared for their elementary education. Mrs. Maria & staff are wonderful. The facility is clean, comfortable & safe. I couldn’t be happier with the decision I made for my children & their pre-school experience. My oldest is now a steaight A 5th grader !!!
My three children have all been students at The Little School and are so well prepared for elementary school that it almost seems as if they were home-schooled. In fact, Maria, the director, and the extraordinary teachers treat every single student with love and personalized attention which fortifies their strengths and gently addresses the needs of every child in each area where he or she requires a little extra help. Each teacher is carefully selected and trained by Maria. They all bring the s…
Our son entered The Little School in 2009 and as he graduated this spring, we could not be happier with how far he had come both academically and socially. When I first toured The Little School and met with the school director, Maria Stavrou, and her staff, I knew I came to the right place. Her passion for education, her enthusiasm and commitment to the children under her care, and her cheerful and warm personality truly permeates through the school and her wonderful teaching staff do mirror and…
